I’m interested in trying ayahuasca. I have had several experiences and know there are levels of sight.. I think it’s interesting or maybe that is the word I use to disguise its real part.
As ridiculous as this sounds I have a feeling you might somehow know what I mean.

I tried Ayahuasca during a trip to the Amazon several years ago. This took place in a small village and was lead by a Shaman with a few villagers singing, playing drums & using fire as part of the ceramony. I had a mystic experience, seeing a crowd of people who had heads of animals and birds. I did feel joyful, unafraid and engrossed in the ceramony. The purging was often, uncontrollable and strong. I found that quite unpleasant. I would do this again. If there is a next time with Ayahuasca, I would hope to have a guide to help me through the experience.

In regards to ayahuasca-related research, I would recommend that you check out the work of MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies). They have do a lot of amazing work in a research context, and they have a page specifically on ayahuasca here. Although they do not seem to have any open studies at the moment, their site may be a good place for you to start in your search. I am very intrigued by the effects of this treatment. Are there any groups in the United States that run sanctioned and approved tests?

I would like to volunteer. Interested in the health benefits and about the 2015 Study done in Brazil.
